Wichita State's Garrett Stutz has been chosen as the StatSheet Missouri Valley Player of the Week for the week ending February 6th. Deon Mitchell from Northern Iowa has earned StatSheet's Missouri Valley Freshman of the Week. And last but not least, Northern Iowa's Chip Rank is StatSheet's Missouri Valley 6th Man of the Week.

Stutz was the best in the Missouri Valley in scoring (24.5 pts per game), rebounding (13.0 per game), and blocked shots (3.0 per game). He also put up a strong showing in shooting (60%). The Wichita State senior played well in wins against Missouri State and Indiana State.

Stutz topped all scoring and rebounding for the Shockers with 25 points and 11 rebounds in a 74-67 win over Missouri State. That was followed by a team-leading 24 point and 15 rebound performance in a narrow 71-66 victory against Indiana State.

This is the first time this season that Garrett Stutz has been named StatSheet Missouri Valley Player of the Week. The runner-up this week is Missouri State senior Kyle Weems. Honorable mention goes to Doug McDermott, a sophomore from Creighton.
